Activities for Seniors in San Ramon are an important issue for growing communities in San Ramon. With the changing demographics and new entrants into the senior category, activities to keep them entertained and healthy are crucial to the health of the community as well. Even though San Ramon and Dublin are younger communities based on the new entrants, there are still parents and grand parents who live with their children.
Many of these programs are offered at a nominal fee. Game tables, library, social services, outdoor patio and lounge available at the Senior center at no charge. In communities like Gale Ranch and Windemere, I have witnessed seniors gathering together in the parks to exercise or just socialize everyday. Piccadily Park, Ramona Park, Arlington park and Bellingham park are the few places I have seen senior congregations !! For many of these folks, going to the center on Alcosta Blvd may not be an option, or there may be a language barrier but its heart warming to see that they have formed their own groups in their local communities and have a strong bonding within themselves.
