SAN RAMON ANNOUNCES A SPECIAL CEREMONY FOR THE GROUND BREAKING OF ITS NEW CITY HALL
The long planned San Ramon City Center Project is finally happening! The 45,000 square foot, two-story City Hall building will be on Bollinger Canyon Road in the southwest corner of San Ramon Central Park where basketball courts are currently located.
“This is great news for the City of San Ramon. We have an opportunity to see a first phase start to the City Center Project that results in the construction of a new City Hall which we can afford and does not require any debt financing,” said San Ramon Mayor.
There are plans to renovate and expand the existing San Ramon library located across Bollinger Canyon Road from the new City Hall site. The San Ramon City Center project includes the construction of a shopping plaza district as well!
San Ramon downtown has been talked about since the city was incorporated in 1983. San Ramon, CA reached a deal in 2007 for Sunset to build a 40-acre downtown on mostly Sunset-owned property.
