The Story about Our Mia (an Advocacy)
Ten years ago, we adopted Mia. On our own, we would not have chosen to adopt a cat but our two sons, Varun and Shiv, convinced us to adopt a cat and the rest is history.
We found this lovely creature in East Bay SPCA which we will talk about later in a bit.
Here's the photo that was sent to us from the shelter:
No question about it, adopting Mia has been one of the best decisions we've ever done.
She has definitely made our lives much lighter and she often is the reason why we're excited to go home. She knows exactly what to do to remove our stress from a full day's work just by simply being herself.
We also want to introduce to you the furbabies of our Director of Operations, Katricia Navarette. She also got them from a shelter in Washington. These are Tom (striped), Kali (gray), and Oliver (orange).
These furbabies definitely has captured our hearts.
Unfortunately, there are a lot more adorable cats and dogs that are still hoping to be rehomed to a loving family. East Bay SPCA is a great shelter that prioritizes the physical health of each animal and also has professional trainers to make sure the animals are ready for adoption.
Watch this video to see how the place is run:
If you're still not sure if you're ready to commit in adoption, there are volunteer programs and fostering programs that are available for you.
We, Mia, Tom, Kali, and Oliver are hoping that you give it a try. You'd be surprised how a tiny creature can change your life for the better!
