Windemere, CA is one of the newer developments in San Ramon. Being on the edge of the city, this community offers convenience no matter whether you’re going to work or for a hike.

The Windemere community was developed between 2002 and 2010, making it one of the newest in the San Ramon area. The houses here were well-built, and most are still in great condition. You may not have as many issues when first moving in if you purchase here.


The homes for sale here range in price from ~$1.5 million to $3 million. Such a price range reflects the different single-family houses, townhouses, duplexes, and condominiums that are available here. Prices can also range depending on lot size and view -- with some premium houses offering large lots and outstanding views of the mountains.


In addition to being priced a little higher than some other areas, the homes for sale here can also be more competitive. For a little more adventurous excursion, take one of the cut-throughs to the Tassajara Ridge Trail. That’s an 8-mile loop to explore, where you might see wildflowers, sunrises, wildlife, and plenty more, depending on the day and season.


If you happen to get one of the houses on the eastern edge of the community, those wildflowers and sunrises could be right in your backyard. You’ll be able to enjoy them no matter where in the neighborhood you buy, though.


Plenty of shops, restaurants, and more

When you don’t feel like going for a jog or bike ride, there’s still plenty more to do nearby. Shops and restaurants are just down the road, as are all of the regular stores and services you need. Whether running a quick errand or entertaining a friend, you needn’t drive far to do things.


The interstates are still nearby

Being on the city’s edge means that there are a couple more lights when you need to head out of town. Even with those lights, however, I-580 and I-680 are still just a short drive away. Once on them, you’ll be headed to Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, or any of the other major cities in the area.


Excellent schools with opportunities

Windemere families have access to excellent education at all levels K-12. The public elementary, middle, and high schools are all highly rated for academics, teachers, opportunities, and other categories. Plenty of extracurriculars ensure that students have opportunities to explore their passions, and to grow outside of the classroom.

For families who prefer, a variety of excellent private schools are also available. Christian, classic, and philosophical schools are all easy to drop children off at while heading to work.
